The Design Institute for Health and Resilience (DIHR) is a multidisciplinary initiative established to advance translational research and innovation at the intersection of environmental design and human health. Building on the strengths of diverse University of Utah faculty, the DIHR fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to address complex challenges in creating inclusive, health-promoting environments across scales—from interiors to neighborhoods. Launched to bridge gaps in research and practice, DIHR leverages cutting-edge science to inspire transformational design solutions that enhance health, resilience, and equity across the lifespan.
